How my 1-1 support works

  • 1. Before Your Consultation

Before you choose a support option you can organise a free chat to tell me what’s going on, hear about my approach and ask me any questions, big or small.

If you decide I’m the right baby sleep consultant for you then you can book your support option direct or on my website.

Once you book in your initial consultation I’ll email you a detailed questionnaire to fill in.

This gives me everything I need ahead of our video call to work out why your baby is struggling with sleep and what we need to do in order to turn things around for you.

What I love most about Rachael is how she took the time to get to know our baby and us as a family, so she could make sure the approach was suitable and effective - Emmy Siobhan

She was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and principled and I loved that about her - she genuinely wanted the best for our baby and her sleep which meant a great deal to us - Clare Reynolds

Rachel was amazing at listening to us, our concerns about sleep training etc etc. We really felt like she got to know us - Toby Pheasant

  • 2. The Consultation

    Is a video call.

I always set aside 1.5 hours because I want to spend time getting to know you and your baby and take the time to properly explain your plan - I never want us to feel like we are rushing against the clock!

During the call I’ll ask you more questions, talk you through the sleep plan and why it will improve your baby’s sleep and together we will build on it. It’s important that the call is collaborative because you know your baby better than me. So I love it when clients tell me ‘that would really annoy my baby’ or ‘my baby always calms with a cuddle’ because together, as a team, we’ll end up with the best settling technique for your baby.

At the end of the call you’ll feel confident you know exactly what you need to do and importantly how you’re going to do it! You don’t need to make any notes during the call because I’ll email you everything including your baby’s routine, settling technique and all the specifics we covered during our chat

‘Rachael is so supportive and her approach is all about what works for you, your family and baby's needs’ - Holly Justice

‘Her approach was very hands-on and individualised to our baby, and she was very understanding of our specific situation’ - Sophie Englander

She meets your needs in a individual way, constantly adapting the plan based on how your baby responds, making it a comprehensive approach rather than a “one size fits all” method - Carlos Bernades

  • 3. Follow Up Support

If it’s financially available to you I really recommend you opt for some follow up support.

You will feel much more confident implementing the changes when I’m on hand to reassure and guide you. Importantly it also allows me to see exactly how your baby is responding to the changes so I can tweak the plan accordingly.

My WhatsApp support is from 8am through until 7pm and the first night I will be online until your baby falls asleep at bedtime so I can see your baby’s response to their settling technique and troubleshoot any questions in real time ahead of night 1.

Overnight all my clients keep a simple sleep log which they send to me first thing in the morning. I always make sure you have feedback and builds for the day by 8am so you’re ready to go.

She was at the end of WhatsApp for support, provided encouragement and tweaks to the programme, as required and my baby slept through on night 3 - Katie Cotter

She was with us every night on WhatsApp and every morning to check in on progress, issues, wins, challenges - no question was deemed stupid and we felt incredibly supported throughout. - Lakshmi Narayan

The way Rachael made herself available via WhatsApp constantly for two weeks exceeded our expectations of the assistance we thought we’d be able to find. - George Kelion

  • 4. Results

Most of my clients will start on 3 days support and then some will upgrade to 2 weeks.

You’ll probably see some pretty huge changes in the first 3 days (in fact lots of my babies will be sleeping through by night 3) but it typically takes 2 weeks before everything really settles down and starts to become predicable.

‘Our child has gone from waking every 45 - 60 mins throughout the night to sleeping for 12 hours uninterrupted, from 7 PM to 7 AM’ - George K

‘After 3 days she had our son in a good daytime routine with a solid lunchtime nap and he was more or less sleeping through the night from 7-7’ - Shiv Patel

‘By night three our 13 month old slept through the night from 7 pm to 7 am, and has done ever since, we can barely believe it! Prior to this she was waking 3- 4 times a night and feeding for hours’ - Jessica Roche
